Tech Support

I almost died from laughing too much upon reading an email from Puva. Funny girl, I tell u.

************************
These ought to make you feel better about your computer skills! If you skip
any, you have to read the last one! Unbelievable, but supposedly all
true!!!!

=================================

Tech support: What kind of computer do you have?
Female customer: A white one...

===============

Customer: Hi, this is Celine. I can't get my diskette out.
Tech support: Have you tried pushing the Button?
Customer: Yes, sure, it's really stuck.
Tech support: That doesn't sound good; I'll make a note.
Customer: No , wait a minute... I hadn't inserted it yet... it's still on my
desk... Sorry...

===============

Tech support: Click on the 'My Computer' icon on to the left of the screen.
Customer: Your left or my left?

===============

Tech support: Good day. How may I help you?
Male customer: Hello... I can't print.
Tech support: Would you click on "start" for me and...
Customer: Listen pal; don't start getting technical on me! I'm not Bill
Gates.

===============

Customer: Hi, good afternoon, this is Martha, I can't print. Every time I
try, it says 'Can't find printer'. I've even lifted the printer and placed
it in front of the monitor, but the computer still says he can't find it...

============== =

Customer: I have problems printing in red...
Tech support: Do you have a color printer?
Custome r: Aaaah....................thank you.

===============

Tech support: What's on your monitor now, ma'am?
Customer: A teddy bear my boyfriend bought for me at the 7-11.

===============

Customer: My keyboard is not working anymore.
Tech support: Are you sure it's plugged into the computer?
Customer: No. I can't get behind the computer.
Tech support: Pick up your keyboard and walk 10 paces back.
Customer:! OK
Tech support: Did the keyboard come with you?
Customer: Yes
Tech support: That means the keyboard is not plugged in. Is there another keyboard?
Customer: Yes, there's another one here. Ah...that one does work...

===============

Tech support: Your password is the small letter "a" as in apple, a capital
letter V as in Victor, the number 7.
Customer: Is that 7 in capital letters?

== =============

Customer: can't get on the Internet.
Tech support: Are you sure you used the right password?
Customer: Yes, I'm sure. I saw my colleague do it.
Tech support: Can you tell me what the password was?
Customer: Five stars.

===============

Tech support: What anti-virus program do you use?
Customer: Netscape.
Tech support: That's not an anti-virus program.
Customer: Oh, sorry...Internet Explorer.

===============

Customer: I have a huge problem. A friend has placed a screen saver on my
computer, but every time I move the mouse, it disappears.

===============

Tech support: How may I help you?
Customer: I'm writing my first e-mail.
Tech support: OK, and what seems to be the problem?
Customer: Well, I have the letter 'a' in the address, but how do I get the
circle around it?

===============

A woman customer called the Canon help desk with a problem with her printer.
Tech support: Are you running it under windows?
Customer: "No, my desk is next to the door, but that is a good point. The
man sitting in the cubicle next to me is under a window, and his printer is
working fine."

===============

And last but not least...

Tech support: "Okay Bob, let's press the control and escape keys at the same
time. That brings up a task list in the middle of the screen. Now type the
letter "P" to bring up the Program Manager."
Customer: I don't have a P.
Tech support: On your keyboard, Bob.
Customer: What do you mean?
Tech support: "P".....on your keyboard, Bob.
Customer: I'M NOT GOING TO DO THAT!

Pictures galore

My lappy can't detect my phone, thus I had to resort to using my brother's desktop to upload all these photos taken long, long ago from my phone.

One fine day, Huili came over my house to bake!

One day, me and my colleagues went Vivo and we saw this big ice-cream outside Ted Baker!

This is Dou dou, the latest collection to the barnyard in office.

This is the storeroom in office, Jellie's refuge.

This is Jellie doing her thing. =D

The was taken when we were waiting for others to reach Iguana.

Me with Elita's geeky specs!

On our last day, I bought Darrick a skinny tie!

At night, we went Mabel's house for steamboat dinner! This is me and Darrick.

(Below is) Mabel and Qiao Yun

Qin Ying and Mabel

Jellie and Mabel.
In case you guys start thinking I'm in love with Mabel, the reason why I have so many of her pictures is because... It's her camera.. =.=

Microsoft

I just read Jeliana's blog and even though I'm not crying, I'm feeling damn emo. Those girls (unknowingly) saw me through my erm, downs and were the cause and solution to my misery. Haha.

I really pity Jellie for hving to face those monkeys in work.

To Jellie: Please be strong. I know your reason(s) for extending despite much protests from us but do remember that at the end of the day you really mustn't neglect your studies (hohoho, hear the mother speak). Give it your best and just make sure you dun regret, whatever the result is, eventually. I will miss the times bitching, gossiping, listening to 987 and commenting about 101 things under the sun with you but alas, all good things must come to an end. Don't worry, u're not forgotten. You're always deeply treasured. Also, please remember you're invited to my pre-birthday party on 19 Aug at the void deck in front of your block. Hee, will see u then. =D

On a totally random note, today I went for an interview at this tuition center. I dunno if anyone ever had this same feeling as me before, that when in an interview, you can't help but wonder what is it about the interviewer that can give him/her his/her position to interview you cause there's 101 things that are so wrong about him/her and you can like totally do so much better. Cos I always have this feeling. Take today's interview for example. The interviewer looked like my age, if not, 1 or 2 years older. She doesn't look at me in the eyes when speaking to me (that's plain rudeness, really). She doesn't know what to say anymore so in turn asked me if I had any questions, which then triggered another round of conversation. She had to repeatedly emphasize the point that I've got no experience whatsoever and her tuition center is oh-so-prestigious. Alrights, let's forget about everything I said previously. The fact that she's offering me SGD$10 an hour for a bloody group tuition (2-5 pax per session) shows how much of a scrooge she can be! grrrrrr.

Jellie. Marshmallow. Choco Baby

My colleague named Jeliana has a nickname Jellie. So, she calls her boyfriend Marshmallow. The other day my other colleagues and I were teasing her, saying how cheesy and hair-standing it is for her to call her bf marshmallow. (We went on to say why not 'Caramel' or 'Sugar'.)

I suddenly felt a pang of guilt when replying to my tagboard earlier on.
Cause mine is called "choco-baby".

Hahahaha!

Alrighty here goes, I LOVE MY CHOCOBABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1107 words, for all of u who are craving. Hahaha, as if.

You know, once you stop blogging for very long and return, you've got so so much you want to share but you don't know where to start. That's what I am facing now.

So much has happened in this past month. I guess I'll attempt to list them all out.

Returned to church (and got a sharegroup)
'A' levels already ended and there's no reason for me to stray away from God (alright, maybe one, just one) and thus, I returned to church. I went back and church-it seemed to me- has changed a lot. I guess when you lead a different life from the past, church both appeals and haunts you in a different way. The church (constantly) remind you of a different sin or bondage from the past and at the same time provides you a different kind (or level? I don't know) of love and comfort.

Went to Bangkok and came back in same gender, one piece, no less
Bangkok trip was, in my opinion, a little too intense for my liking. I know, I know, the trip being intensive is what we made it out to be. Hee. There comes the problem. When travelling in a group of 6, all with different likings, purposes and agendas for the trip, it's very hard to cater and please everyone. I was actually looking forward to a more relaxing trip, one that is like a resort or something of that sort. No regrets though; going anywhere there will always be memories, experience, lessons to learn and many other things you can take home and they stay with you.

Worked in JP Morgan
I came back on a Monday and I started work on Wednesday. There were hardly any rest which was then very much needed cause I fell sick during day 3 of the trip. So there I was, reporting to work with cough, flu and a very bad throat. I worked as a receptionist for them and I tell you, even though on paper it says I'm working 4 hours a day, essentially I'm only working for 1 hour - the lunch hour- to cover my 16th floor colleague. The rest of the 3 hours from 9.30am till 12.30am I'll be on the 17th floor reading books/magazine/newspaper. Fwahaha. I was paid 8 an hour to do my own things muahahaha. Envy me. The only drawback was my work's only half day and it lasted for only a week. =( I was only needed because my colleagues are clearing leaves.

Christmas partyed in Terry Khoo's house
Self-explantory eh? So basically I went there with my F.R.I.E.N.D.S t-shirt on and all 6 who went for Thailand trip got one for ourselves. However, Darius was in Australia, Elita wasn't feeling well, so only Gary, Terry, Ruth and I went for the party. G, T and me wore the shirt and Ruth was officially labelled (by me) as The Betrayer Of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. =x

Pictures.

Group picture number 1.

Group picture number 2.

The Rebonded Turned Perm gang. Oh, did I mention I permed my hair? hahaha.

Me and prince. What did Terry do to deserve such a cute dog. However, in all fairness, I must say Terry does treat his dog well.

It was Terry's birthday on the 28th so Huili, Elita and I bought him a gift. This guy lives and breathes spongebob.

So, with X'mas eve partying all night, we pathetic losers spent our Xmas day sleeping at home. =\

Working in Microsoft Operation
A couple of friends whom I spoke to would know that I didnt like the job initially. But I created a commotion (my bad, I had never intended it to be this way) and I kind of got what I wanted. Oh no, I sound so bad here. I can't discuss the details publicly so if you guys really know what happened, you guys would have agreed that I did just what I had to do. Work's tiring and I've rested the whole of today, no less. I caught abt 16 hours of sleep to make up for my less than 8 everyday when I'm working. Hurhur, woeisme. As I was telling Venesse earlier on, I'm not entertaining suicidal thoughts but sometimes I really wish to skip through the growing up and growing old process and jump straight to meeting God. It is a very appealing easy way out to me.

To Abby: Thanks for your Christmas card which really brightened up my day and night and as I've mentioned as I was reading I felt as if it you were just by my side speaking to me. I need you quite badly these days just for a listening ear but it always saddens me you're away in Malacca. It's ok, you're coming back real soon.

To Huili: Thanks for the support you (and Abby, on different occasions) shown for the past year. I really wouldn't have survived the Microsoft period (and many others) if not for you. =D love u.

To someone whom I hope you know who you are: thanx for the 2 assurances you gave me (namely no one would know what happened and that nothing will change). I know it came as a shock to you and I apologise for that. I have never quite dared to speak to you ever since after that and here are some stuffs I would like you to know.
1) All I needed then was an answer becos of somethings which I can't say and I wasn't expecting anything more. As in, you know, a leap from whatever we are. I always felt that you should know I never want to b anything more than a friend.
2) Some things are hard to change in the short run due to fixed factors for the past year or so. Meanwhile I promise it wouldnt inconvenience you in anyway.
3) You don't have to try too hard to act as if nothing happened May make us both feel awkward. =)
4) I'm really fine and moving on cause I've got more to worry (like office politics) though any support would really mean a lot to me and be appreciated.
If you don't understand any of what I just said maybe you will in the future, maybe you'll never. But does it really matter? Anyway, just don't come asking me anything lest I drown in embarrassment. Oh, a Happy New Year to you.

Alright, with that, I extent my best wishes to everyone who's reading this (none for those who arent! Just kidding.) in the coming year and thanks a million for reading up till here. =D
