Family

I learnt two new things today.

When someone in the family goes for an operation, it's not to be scheduled as a one-day, one-time-off event.
My sister went for a day surgery yesterday. This morning, if I attended church she'll be all alone in the house until my mum comes back from work. Thank God I remembered the night before and told Abby I'm not going. 8.30am this morning she woke me up asking for her painkillers (I collected her medicine).

Effort has to be put in by next-to-kin(s) to take care of the patient post-surgery, making sure that at any point of time there is at least one adult at home. Things like these, when it doesn't happen often, could easily be over-looked.

The next thing I learnt is that tea taste better with honey than with sugar. =D

I realise as I grow old, I grow addicted to things. These days I would find myself drinking tea out of the blues. Also, I would take Vit C tabs every morning. All by myself, without promptings. Haha. Weird..

Pool

Alrighty, so the 8-balls carnival is on tomorrow, 10am-4pm Bukit Timah Plaza. People, come down and support me kaes. (I know you guys wouldn't but still, wont hurt to try, yes?) Will update the results if I'm less lazy.

Recess week is (finally!) here. My cough aint getting better. It kinda got better and remained stagnant there.

These days I've been left on my own for quite a substantial bit of time. Been thinking of a couple of issues with no conclusion and that's sad.

Anywayssss, they're making the home-brew kit delivery to my bro's new place on Sun! So eggcited, I can't wait. It's me and my sis's birthday gift to him, some 1 week after his b'day. And he's not suspecting anything! I think he must have thought that we girls aint getting him anything.
The home-brew kit's quite troublesome, truth be told. You've gotta apply a license (reduced from $100 to $10! Don't ask me why. To promoted home-brewing, maybe?) and it has got to be carried out at the address you specified! Meaning to say, we've got to send it to his new house which he hasn't really shifted in just yet. Nonetheless, Violet assured us he's gonna be thrilled and he had better be! It aint cheap, mate!

I'd be honest. Currently I'm too excited about pool tomorrow to be speaking coherently! Geeez.

Shopping

So, I realise I haven't been blogging anything substantial lately, so I shall do a quick one.

Today I took leave simply because I was forced to. Yea yea, due to the nature of my work, I can't work from home for my company's work-from-home exercise. Anycase, I went shopping with my mum and sis at Orchard! I bought a top from Giordano(!!), something I wouldn't expect myself to do but the top was really very nice and it complemented me (I feel). C'mon, it's so not easy getting my clothes lor.

We ate Xiao Long Bao and Duck's Tongue from Imperial Treasure. My sis said the food there is very similar to that of Crystal Jade's because apparently, a group of chefs working for Crystal Jade were very unhappy with their employment benefits or something, they actually left and set up Imperial Treasure. Also, in an attempt to 'get back' at Crystal Jade (I think), the menu is the same and everything is priced $1 cheaper than that of Crystal Jade's. Haha. Smart guys there. Very cheena though but who cares as long as they serve me nice food. Yum.

After that my sis brought my mum to Toast Box for coffee and a pork floss toast.

For dinner, we ate Billy Bombers cause Li gave me a $15 off with a minimum spending of $30. So the three of us ordered 2 main course to share - half slab ribs and honey stung chicken. It still adds up to $30 after the discount. =\

Lately I've been spending a lot, way out of budget. There's only $40 left in my bank account and there's still the handphone bill ($30.62) staring at me. Hur hur. Howwwwwww?

On a random note, my mum and I bought 4 more bottles of nail polish today. I've got a grand total of like, 30 bottles of nail polish? Maybe more, that was just a very rough estimation. =D

Alrighty, Im really tired now and should b off to bed. =D
